Social Awareness about Lawand Human Rights :
Pauper’s Legal Aid Foundation (PLAF) is a dedicated human rights and legal aid organization, driven by a dynamic team of lawyers and committed social activists across Bangladesh. With a firm belief that awareness is the first step toward justice, PLAF actively works to promote legal literacy and human rights consciousness among people from all walks of life.
In a country where a large portion of the population remains unaware of their fundamental rights and legal protections, the importance of social awareness cannot be overstated. Many individuals, particularly in rural and marginalized communities, suffer from injustice, exploitation, and discrimination simply because they lack knowledge about the law and the remedies available to them. Recognizing this critical gap, PLAF has taken a proactive role in educating citizens and empowering them through knowledge.
Our Mission in Awareness Building
PLAF conducts nationwide social awareness campaigns focusing on key areas of human rights and law, including:
- Fundamental Rights guaranteed by the Constitution of Bangladesh
- Women and Child Rights and protection against violence
- Legal remedies against land grabbing and unlawful possession
- Rights of workers and labor law protections
- Access to justice and free legal aid services
- Prevention of corruption and abuse of power
- Awareness against drug abuse, trafficking, and social crimes
Through seminars, workshops, community meetings, and public discussions, our team engages directly with people at the grassroots level. We collaborate with local communities, educational institutions, and civil society groups to spread awareness in both urban and rural areas.
